Keep every room meeting-ready: commercial A/V & UC depot services in Canada.

When a boardroom camera dies or an amplifier channel drops, the room is down and the integrator gets the call. We run the Canadian depot layer for A/V and UC makers, integrators, and distributors: electronics repair, returns processing, and refurbishment for the hardware behind every meeting and venue.

A/V electronics fail in ways that reward real bench work: amplifier output stages blow, power supplies drift and die, DSPs lose channels, conference cameras develop motor and sensor faults, touch panels stop responding, HDMI and Dante ports fail from years of hot-plugging. Most of it is board-level electronics, exactly the work a swap-only depot can’t do. Our bench comes out of decades of consumer and pro audio service, and we repair down to the component level, so a processor with a failed input stage comes back as a working unit instead of a scrapped one. We’re an authorized service centre for brands including Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, and Cambridge Audio.

For the people running A/V programs (OEM service teams, integrators with installed rooms under contract, distributors carrying returns), the depot is the layer between a field failure and a working room. From Markham, Ontario, we take intake from sites or warehouses across Canada, repair and test to spec, run returns triage and refurbishment on channel and B-stock volume, and keep the whole loop in-country so nothing picks up border days, brokerage, or duty on the way to being fixed.

When A/V and UC estates need a Canadian depot

  • Failed amplifiers, DSPs, and cameras are being scrapped or shipped out of country because nobody in Canada repairs them at board level.
  • An integrator’s installed rooms are under service contracts, and there’s no depot behind the field techs to actually fix what they pull.
  • Distributor returns and B-stock A/V gear are sitting on the books with no refurbishment or resale path.
  • An OEM’s Canadian customers are waiting on cross-border warranty loops, and every RMA is collecting shipping days, brokerage, and duty.
  • A conferencing refresh means hundreds of rooms of retired hardware to recover, and the new gear needs staging before install crews arrive.

Commercial A/V repair questions integrators and OEMs ask

Can you repair A/V electronics at the component level, or only swap parts?

Component level. Amplifier output stages, power supplies, DSP boards, camera electronics, control processors: we diagnose and repair the board itself, including BGA-level rework, rather than swapping modules or writing units off. That’s the difference between recovering a processor and scrapping it, and it’s the depth most depots don’t have.

Are you an authorized service centre for any A/V brands?

Yes. Microland is an authorized service centre for brands including Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, and Cambridge Audio, a heritage that comes from decades of consumer and pro audio service. Beyond authorized work, the same bench services commercial A/V and UC hardware across the major platforms deployed in Canada.

How do returns and refurb programs work for A/V distributors?

Channel returns and B-stock flow into a structured pipeline: receiving and triage, functional testing against spec, refurbishment and cosmetic grading of what has value, repackaging, and disposition (back to your stock, into a resale channel, or responsibly recycled), with per-unit reporting through our portal so you can see and act on every unit.

Do you work with integrators, or only with manufacturers?

Both. For OEMs we run in-country warranty and repair programs. For integrators and their service contracts, we’re the depot behind the field team: they pull the failed processor, camera, or panel from the room, we repair and return it, or feed a spares pool so the room is back up before the repair is even done.

Can you test and align A/V equipment to specification after repair?

Yes. Repairs are verified functionally before return. Audio equipment is tested for output, distortion, and channel behaviour; video and conferencing hardware for signal, optics, and connectivity; control systems for I/O and communication. A unit leaves the bench working to spec, not just powering on.
