ABOUT · EST. 1994

Thirty years of fixing what others write off.

Microland Technical Services started as a depot repair shop and grew into what our customers actually needed: one Canadian partner for the entire hardware lifecycle. Repair, returns, refurbishment, disposition, and deployment, under one roof in Markham, Ontario.

The story

We've been repairing electronics in Canada since 1994. The bench came first: three decades of board-level work across A/V, IT, POS, mobile, and everything in between. The rest grew from what happens around a bench at scale: returns that need triage before repair, refurbished units that need somewhere to go, fleets that need staging on the way out and disposition on the way back.

Today that's the whole operation: an integrated device-lifecycle depot serving OEMs, distributors, channel partners, and enterprises, including Fortune 500 manufacturers and overseas ODMs who need a hands-off Canadian execution arm their customers can count on.

What makes the operation different

P/01

Breadth

One partner for the whole lifecycle. Most vendors do one or two of repair, returns, refurbishment, disposition, and deployment. We do all of them, in one building, on one data view. In a market Canada's size, consolidation isn't convenience; it's economics.

Depth

Repair to the component, not the module. BGA reballing, microsoldering, board recovery: the work that lets us serve board-level RMA programs and recover units part-swap depots scrap.

Software

A fully custom platform built by our in-house developers: a transactional customer portal, a full REST API, and AI woven into the workflow, recommending repairs, dispositions, and values. Our team extends it per partner, so integration is days, not quarters.

The people

A core team of hardware engineers, repair technicians, and software developers who've been doing this long enough to have opinions about flux. The engineers who fix the boards sit in the same building as the developers who build the platform that tracks them, which is why the two actually work together.

We're members of the Professional Audio Visual Society of Canada (PAVSC) and an authorized service centre for brands including Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, and Cambridge Audio.
