Keep the pages moving: print & imaging depot services in Canada.
Printers fail mechanically, electrically, and constantly, and behind every fleet is a service program on the hook for uptime. We run the Canadian depot layer for print and imaging OEMs and distributors: depot repair, advance exchange, lease-return processing, and board-level repair of the electronics inside.
Print hardware is electromechanical, and it fails like it: feed rollers and separation pads wear until every job jams, printheads clog or burn out, fusers and drive trains reach end of life, formatter and controller boards fail from power events. And a power supply fault can look like a dozen other problems until someone diagnoses the board. The units are heavy, the failure volume is steady, and the economics only work when repair happens at a depot built for it, not one device at a time in the field.
From Markham, Ontario, we run that depot for all of Canada: intake from offices, warehouses, or distributors; mechanical repair of feed systems, printheads, and drive assemblies; board-level repair of formatter, controller, and power boards that most depots simply replace or scrap; advance-exchange pools that keep fleet and managed-print commitments whole; and structured returns processing for the steady stream of channel and lease returns that print programs generate. One in-country loop, with no cross-border shipping, brokerage, or duty on any of it.

When print fleets need a Canadian repair depot
- Fleet or managed-print uptime commitments are slipping because failed units wait weeks for repair or replacement.
- Printers are crossing the border for depot service, and every unit is picking up freight, brokerage, and duty in both directions.
- Failed formatter and controller boards are being scrapped when board-level repair would recover them at a fraction of replacement cost.
- Off-lease and channel-return printers are piling up in a warehouse with no triage, refurbishment, or disposition path.
- An OEM launching or scaling in Canada needs an in-country depot partner instead of standing up its own repair operation.
Printer repair questions OEMs and fleet managers ask
What printer and MFP failures do you repair at the depot?
The full electromechanical range: worn feed rollers, separation pads, and pickup assemblies behind chronic jamming; failed printheads, fusers, and drive trains; scanner and ADF faults on MFPs; and the electrical side (formatter boards, controller boards, and power supplies). Units are repaired, run through print-quality and functional testing, and returned working, not just powering on.
Can you repair formatter and controller boards, or only replace them?
We repair them. Formatter, controller, and power boards fail from power events, capacitor aging, and connector damage. Most depots respond by swapping the board or scrapping the unit. We diagnose and repair at the component and BGA level, which recovers boards that are expensive or impossible to source and keeps otherwise-good printers out of the scrap stream.
How does advance exchange work for a managed-print or fleet program?
We hold a pool of your units at the depot, configured and ready. When a device in the field fails, a replacement ships immediately and the failed unit comes back into the repair loop to replenish the pool. The customer keeps printing, the program keeps its uptime commitments, and repairs happen on the depot’s schedule instead of the customer’s floor.
Do you process lease returns and channel returns for print hardware?
Yes. Print programs generate a constant stream of off-lease and channel-return units, and we run the structured pipeline they need: receiving and audit, triage and functional testing, refurbishment and grading of what has value, harvesting of serviceable parts like printheads and boards, and responsible recycling of the remainder, with per-unit reporting throughout.
Do you service label and industrial printers as well as office printers?
Yes. Alongside office printers and MFPs, the depot services label and industrial printers (printhead replacement and alignment, platen and drive repairs, and board-level electronics), plus document scanners and finishing units. Bring us your model list and we’ll confirm coverage per device as part of scoping.
