Keep every lane open. POS depot services in Canada.

When a terminal goes down, a lane closes and revenue stops. We run the Canadian depot layer for POS makers and their channels: repair, advance exchange, returns, and deployment for the hardware that takes payment.

POS hardware fails in the field, in volume, on schedules nobody controls: touchscreens crack, card readers wear, receipt printers jam their last jam. What matters to your program is how fast a working unit is back on the counter and what each swap actually costs. That’s a depot problem, and in Canada, most POS OEMs and resellers don’t have a depot.

We are that layer: intake from stores or distributors, board-level repair of terminal electronics, advance-exchange pools that put replacement units on-site before the failed one ships back, and staging so every unit arrives configured for the merchant it’s going to.

When POS estates need a Canadian repair depot

  • Terminal swaps are running through a US depot, and cross-border shipping is adding days and duty costs to every RMA.
  • A retail rollout or refresh needs hundreds of terminals configured per-merchant, and nobody has the bench space.
  • De-installed estates are piling up with no disposition path that recovers value.
  • Warranty turnaround times are breaching the SLAs you’ve promised merchants.
  • Failed boards from terminals are being scrapped when component-level repair would recover them.

POS repair questions OEMs and resellers ask

Do you repair payment devices with security modules?

We repair POS hardware within the constraints each device’s security architecture allows: many payment devices have tamper-protection that dictates what can and can’t be serviced outside the manufacturer. We scope this per device family with you up front, and handle what’s serviceable: displays, connectivity, power, printers, and board-level electronics.

How does advance exchange work for store estates?

We hold a buffer pool of your configured units at the depot. When a store reports a failure, a replacement ships immediately, configured for that merchant, and the failed unit comes back for repair into the pool. Lanes stay open; the repair loop runs behind the scenes.

Can you configure terminals per merchant before deployment?

Yes. Staging and configuration is a core service: application loads, parameter files, network configuration, and asset tagging per your runbook, so hardware arrives at the store ready to take payment.

What happens to de-installed or end-of-program terminals?

They flow into returns processing: triage, data handling appropriate to the device, refurbishment of what has value, harvesting of serviceable boards and parts, and responsible recycling for the remainder, with per-unit reporting.

Which POS brands do you work on?

The depot services POS hardware from the major platforms deployed in Canada, including Oracle MICROS, NCR, Ingenico, Elo, and Toshiba terminals, peripherals, and printers, along with comparable hardware from other makers. Bring us your device list and we’ll confirm coverage per model as part of scoping.
